Content Creation and the Law
November 12 @ 12:15 pm - 1:30 pm EST
The law is an important consideration in content creation. This session discusses the basics of intellectual property and libel law. Intellectual property law regulates people’s rights in the reproduction or adaptation of their creative work. Libel law inovles communicating untrue information that damages people’s reputation and economic interests. Ignoring these regulations can damage your content creation enterprise.
This meeting discusses the basics of law faced by content creators, with attorney and podcaster Steve Vondoran of Vondoran Legal. We will discuss the basics of intellectual property and libel law, guidelines for ensuring that you do not run into legal problems, and what do to if you find yourself in a legal dispute.
Mr. Vondoran is an expert in intellectual property law and host of the podcast Attorney Steve, which discusses legal issues facing podcasters and other content creators.
This discussion does not offer legal advice to attendees. It rather alerts creators to legal concerns of which they should be aware in engaging the public.
